Las Vegas Strip leader takes on new challenge
South Lake Tahoe and Reno may be Las Vegas' afterthoughts, but Caesars is expanding outside of Las Vegas.
At around a half-mile long, the South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, cluster of casinos along the lakefront does not exactly rival the strip.
But as a Nevada resident, I can say that the location is much more scenic than Las Vegas, and there are so many other draws.
Lake Tahoe, for starters.
Mark Twain described the cobalt blue lake this way: "I thought it must surely be the fairest picture the whole earth affords." He wasn't exaggerating.
