Here are all the new cruise ships coming in 2025
Disney, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and more have ships on order.
This has been a golden age for cruise ships.
Many cruise lines — at least the biggest ones operating the largest ships — have decided that their ships matter as much as the destinations they visit.
That has generally led to a bigger is better approach with most of the new ships on order being packed with reasons for people to stay onboard. There are, of course, exceptions, but Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Carnival Cruise Line all have mega-ships heading to market in 2025. The Maiden Voyage of Disney Destiny sets sail on November 20, 2025, kicking off an inaugural season of 4- and 5-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. The Lion King will be a focal part of the dinner entertainment on Disney Destiny, and the cruise line will continue its concept where passengers visit different restaurants each night but keep the same waitstaff.
