Disney Cruise Line’s bold expansion plans are sailing ahead with the launch of two new ships in late 2025 that will bring with them an array of new cruise experiences, venues, and menu items like only Disney can offer.

The new Disney Destiny, set to sail Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale beginning in November, will immerse passengers in epic stories and experiences inspired by heroes and villains from across the Disney universe.

One of those legendary stories is “The Lion King,” which the cruise line will celebrate with a highly anticipated dinner show, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King.

Here’s a first look at the “mane” event’s menu, as well as some decadent details about the new lounges and dessert shop that will debut on the ship, as shared by Disney Parks Blog.

Disney Destiny’s Feast of The Lion King menu revealed

As families enjoy a retelling of Simba’s story from cub to king performed as a musical journey through the film’s award-winning soundtrack, they’ll have the opportunity to experience the flavors of African cuisines offered alongside common Disney Cruise Line dishes designed to appeal to the whole family.

At Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, passengers will be able to try traditional African dishes as well as new takes on passenger favorites that feature authentic spice blends, regional sauces, and grains and produce characteristic of African cooking.

Featured menu items will include:

  • Nala’s Roasted Pork Tenderloin – Black-eyed bean-chorizo casserole, fried yuca, thyme, and pickled purple onions
  • Pan-seared Berbere-spiced Roasted Chicken – Jollof rice, fried plantains, blistered tomatoes, and green harissa sauce
  • Cape Malay Shrimp Curry – Garam masala, turmeric, cumin-coconut curry sauce, aromatic basmati rice, cucumber sambal, and butter roti
  • Heirloom Tomato Kachumbari – Golden beet caviar, nut and seed dukkah-spiced goat cheese, and pea tendrils
  • Pineapple Upside Down Cake – Moist yogurt cake, caramelized pineapple, cherries, and rooibos mousse
  • Warm Chocolate Malva Pudding – Sweet vanilla pudding, apricot jam, warm buttery cream sauce, and vanilla ice cream

The dining experience will also offer The Lion King-themed beverages including:

  • Can You Feel the Rum Tonight? – Starr 7 Year Oak Aged Rum, Amarula Cream Liqueur, mango smoothie mix, a pinch of cinnamon, shaken with ice, and garnished with a fresh mint leaf
  • Slimy Yet Satisfying – Sprite infused with lime gelatin and garnished with centipede and worm gummies

Disney Destiny lounges will serve drinks with unique flair

The Disney Destiny will also conjure up wickedly creative drinks in new lounges inspired by Disney villain Cruella de Vil and Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.”

De Vil’s piano bar will offer a trendsetting selection of designer cocktails and mocktails inspired by Cruella and other bold characters.

Featured drinks will include:

  • Fashionista – Freeze-dried strawberry and banana-infused Patron Añejo Cristalino Tequila with banana liqueur, agave nectar, and fresh lime juice clarified with milk and chilled. Served with strawberry shortcake popcorn
  • Fearless Sir Galahad – Free Spirits Non-alcoholic Bourbon, bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, and Angostura bitters finished with aromatic smoke

Drawing inspiration from the sorcerers and mystical artifacts of “Doctor Strange,” The Sanctum lounge will mesmerize passengers with the art of mixology. The Sanctum will offer mocktails, cocktails, spirits and coffees, as well as exclusive menu items like stuffed waffles with custard cream or mixed berry compote filling that passengers of all ages will enjoy.

The Sanctum's mystical drinks will include:

  • Circle of the Cosmos – Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, and fresh lemon juice garnished with a lemon peel spiral
  • Vapors of Valtorr – Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles

Disney Destiny will offer sweets worthy of super heroes

The Disney Destiny will also debut a futuristic new dessert shop, designed as a confectionary version of Edna Mode’s lab, where the famed fashion designer whips up outfits for Supers in Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films.

The incredibly sweet menu will feature:

  • Purple Velvet Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse, purple mirror glaze, sprinkles, and chocolate décor
  • Double Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate truffle mousse, dark chocolate velvet finish, gold confetti, and chocolate décor
  • Vanilla Marble Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse, red mirror glaze, sprinkles, and chocolate décor
  • Orange-Almond Cake with raspberry mousse, orange chocolate velvet finish, sprinkles, and chocolate décor
  • Shortbread Cookie with vanilla frosting, dulce de leche filling, and chocolate décor
  • Chocolate Barks – Edna (white chocolate, dark chocolate, and chopped cookies ‘n cream cookies) and Jack-Jack (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and mini chocolate chip cookies)
  • Three-Layer Cookies ‘n Cream Cookie with dulce de leche
