Disney Cruise Line reveals new details on its two new ships

2025 is set to be a big year for Disney Cruise Line.

By the end of the year, the cruise line will launch two new ships, sailing it closer to its goal of more than doubling its fleet to 13 ships by 2031.

The cruise line’s multi-year expansion plan included the debut of the Disney Treasure at the end of 2024, and will continue with the addition of the Disney Destiny and the Disney Adventure, which both set sail on their maiden voyages in late 2025.

In November, the Disney Destiny will launch from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and shortly after, the cruise line’s largest ship yet and first to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure, will offer a new kind of magical vacation at sea from Singapore.

As progress is made on these two new ships in the shipyard, Disney Cruise Line recently revealed some new details to show families more of what they can expect with the ships’ design themes and onboard experiences.

Disney Destiny bow art celebrates the ship’s theme

For Disney Cruise Line, unveiling the distinctive character-inspired bow artwork created for each new vessel in the fleet marks a memorable moment during the cruise ship construction process.

Recently, the cruise line revealed the whimsical art piece installed on the Disney Destiny’s bow, which symbolizes the ship’s first-of-its-kind “Heroes and Villains” design theme. When the Disney Destiny pulls into port, passengers will recognize it by its image of a valiant-looking Minnie Mouse striking a pose in a heroic ensemble with her cape billowing behind her.

As Disney Cruise Line’s heroes- and villains-themed ship, the Disney Destiny will also feature a Marvel super hero as its signature stern character. A larger-than-life sculpture will depict Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots decorating the filigree on the back of the ship.

When the new ship sets sail beginning in November, passengers will be immersed in legendary Disney stories through new experiences and venues like a dinner show inspired by “The Lion King” and lounges inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange,” Disney villain Cruella de Vil, and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” attractions at Disney Parks.

Disney Adventure to debut new entertainment experiences

When the Disney Adventure sets sails from Singapore beginning in December, passengers will have opportunities to celebrate their favorite super heroes, Disney royals, and other beloved characters through new immersive entertainment experiences.

The Disney Adventure will be the first ship to feature a Marvel Style Studio, where children and adults alike can be styled like their favorite super heroes from the Marvel Universe with a range of styling packages including hair, makeup and clothing options.

The ship will also include fleet-favorite Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which offers an enchanted salon experience for young passengers who want to undergo regal transformations into favorite Disney princesses, shining knights, adventurous sea captains, and more. For more royal fun aboard the ship, kids aged three to 12 will be cordially invited to a charming royal tea party with favorite Disney princesses at the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea.

Passengers sailing on the Disney Adventure will also get the chance to don their pirate best and join Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates as they battle with a giant squid and hunt for treasure in a new action-packed show, “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen.”

And in another first for Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Adventure will include a new stage show, special encounters, a retail location, and other experiences with beloved character Duffy the Disney Bear and his friends.
