Clairo is kicking off 2025 with a bang, unveiling a brand new music video for her breezy track “Terrapin” on Thursday (Feb. 6), starring none other than “Weird Al” Yankovic.
The four-minute theatrical visual finds Yankovic emerging from a teal green home in a tuxedo, dramatically lip syncing along to the verse, before two women in green sequined dresses dance behind him at the chorus: “Simple thing, I don’t need much to like, I find/ And I, and I guess I don’t cry.”
Yankovic then joins a pianist on his instrument for the second, backed by a full band and Clairo herself grooving along to the melody behind them. A dance scene breaks out between the sequin-dressed dancers before the clip ends the way it started, in front of the teal home — but this time, Yankovic returns inside. The end credits reveal that Emmy Award-winning The Bear star Ayo Edebiri directed the music video.
“Terrapin” is featured on Clairo’s third studio album, Charm, which was released in July 2024 and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album chart, fueled by the singles “Sexy to Someone” and “Nomad.” She kicked off her tour in support of the album in September. After wrapping the North American leg of the tour in December, the 26-year-old star is heading to New Zealand and Australia this month, before taking the run over to Europe throughout March.
