Royal Caribbean has a new menu item set to become a cult favorite
A new cruise dining indulgence has got Royal Caribbean passengers raving.

Vacation food often leaves a lasting impression and cruise ship meals are no different.
Some people say certain foods just taste better at sea, while others have enjoyed indulgences on a cruise that can’t even be compared to treats they can find back on land.

For many Disney Cruise Line passengers, the Churro Mickey Waffles served on select mornings are a vacation breakfast treat unlike any other. The cinnamon- and sugar-dusted delights have earned a devoted following with many passengers insisting that they make the Disney cruise vacation experience that much more magical.
But Disney’s waffles may have some competition in the best cruise breakfast treat category, according to Royal Caribbean passengers.
A popular thread in the Royal Caribbean community on Reddit reveals that the cruise line has stepped up its breakfast pastry game, delighting passengers who like a sweet start to their vacation days.

Passengers are obsessed with Royal Caribbean’s new cinnamon rolls
“Royal Caribbean has absolutely nailed its newest pastry! Check out this cinnamon roll,” Dear-Performance1953 posted. “They must have a new corporate pastry chef. This isn’t frozen out of the box stuff, this is totally legit that I would pay for at an external bakery. These might become a new cult favorite, like the kummelweck sandwich at Park Cafe!”
Royal Caribbean’s passenger-favorite Royal Kümmelweck roast beef sandwich may have new company on the must-eat list for foodie cruisers.
“These cinnamon rolls were killer,” AbbreviationsOld3757 agreed. “I was on Odyssey at the beginning of March. I would enjoy these every morning with my breakfast.”
“We just got off Freedom and I can confirm that these are 10/10,” evilkid500 chimed in.

Pleased passengers even shared messages that they hoped would reach the cruise line’s food and beverage leaders.
“Royal Caribbean, if you are reading, I beg you to continue this trend,” Dear-Performance1953 wrote. “You are redeeming yourself post COVID. You nailed this, the cheese dinner rolls in main dining room have to be a new recipe; they are intensely moist now! My kids claim the frosted donuts got an upgrade too.”
Another passenger reported sending recent feedback to the cruise line about the sweet improvement.
“I just commented on this on my last cruise review from Adventure 2 weeks ago and told them that whoever decided to make this change should be promoted immediately,” Certain-Adeptness-96 wrote. “They have truly upped the game on this one!”
The popular cinnamon rolls seem to be available fleetwide
Cruisers reported that they’ve found the new cinnamon rolls on various ships throughout the fleet. The original poster noted that they enjoyed the breakfast treats at Park Cafe and Solarium Bistro dining venues on a Royal Caribbean Oasis-class ship.
Other passengers also shared that they found the delightful pastries at the Windjammer buffet restaurant during breakfast, or received them from room service as part of the assorted pastries offering.
“I was on Freedom a month ago and had one in the Windjammer every morning,” stina13- wrote. “I can confirm they are delicious and live up to the hype.”

“Yeah, I ordered a pastry plate for room service breakfast on the Wonder last week and confirm it was really good,” peezy80 added. “Also, the cheese bread was my fav from the main dining room as well.”
Cruisers who are sailing soon can’t wait to try them.
“Oh man, thanks for posting! We are going on Utopia next week and I'll be looking for these! (please tell me they have cream cheese frosting),” MBCD2007 commented.
“They 100% do and it’s fantastic,” Dear-Performance1953 confirmed.
