In that time they have collected fewer points than the likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace, and have lost more matches than Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion. City have even conceded more goals than Manchester United in the last three months. A 5-1 thrashing by Arsenal last weekend was just the latest piece of evidence to show how far City have fallen. Guardiola may opt to name a second-string side here as he has one eye on next week’s play-off first leg against Real Madrid. But even if they do rest some of their star men, City will prove too strong for Orient.

A win by a three-goal margin or more is well within reach for the seven-time FA Cup winners.

⚽ Back Manchester City with a -2.5 Asian handicap at 3/4 with BetMGM ⚽

First goal 11-20 minutes

Leyton Orient rank eighth for possession in League One, but they will have very little of the ball on Saturday.

Richie Wellens’ side will instead be focused on keeping things tight at the back, especially in the early stages.

It is unlikely to take Manchester City long to make the breakthrough. In our view, they are most likely to do so between the 11th and 20th minutes.

Omar Marmoush to score any time

Omar Marmoush has gone straight into Guardiola’s first-choice XI, but the Manchester City boss will be tempted to give him a run-out this weekend.

Marmoush is enjoying an excellent season on an individual level. In 26 outings for Eintracht Frankfurt, he scored 20 goals.

Marmoush has yet to open his account for City, though, which is why he could be included in the starting line-up in east London.

The Egypt international will be keen to get off the mark as quickly as possible, not least with that Real Madrid tie looming on the horizon.

Against a League One defence, the 25-year-old can make the net bulge in the FA Cup fourth round.
