G-Dragon announced his upcoming 2025 ‘Übermensch’ world tour via his personal Instagram page today (February 6), with a promotional poster of his own silhouette. Specifics about the tour’s stops, dates and venues have yet to be unveiled at the time of publishing.
The ‘Übermensch’ world tour will be the Big Bang rapper’s third solo world tour and will also mark his first in over seven years, per Korea JoongAng Daily. His last was 2017’s ‘World Tour Act III: M.O.T.T.E’, which recorded 654,000 attendees across 36 shows, breaking the record for the highest K-pop soloist tour turnout at the time.
G-Dragon’s impending tour will be in support of his upcoming solo comeback with his third full-length album ‘Übermensch’, out February 25. The record was first announced earlier this week, making it his first body of work in seven years. It will also be his first studio album since he dropped 2013’s ‘Coup D’Etat’.
Prior to the K-pop idol’s comeback announcement, G-Dragon had already released two new standalone singles in 2024: ‘Power’ and ‘Home Sweet Home’, featuring Big Bang bandmates Daesung and Taeyang.
G-Dragon debuted as the leader of YG Entertainment boyband Big Bang in 2006. He later launched his solo career in 2009 with his studio album ‘Heartbreaker’, which was followed by the EP ‘One of a Kind’ and album ‘Coup d’Etat’. These subsequent releases spawned hits like ‘Crayon’, ‘That XX’ and ‘Crooked’.
