First Look at the New Balance 2000 ABZORB

New Balance is expected to release the upcoming New Balance 2000 later this year. Inspired by the early 2000s running shoes, the updated model blends retro-futuristic stylings with the contemporary streetwear aesthetic. The first look of the silhouette has been revealed on Instagram by Gustavo Soares, a Sao Paolo-based stylist. Shared for the first time, the shoe appears to showcase a no-sew streamlined upper silhouette that boasts a breathable mesh upper base paired with synthetic overlays for the sleek look. The shoe's bold "N" branding is complemented by the wavy paneling and the 2000 appears to arrive in a soft baby blue hue featuring white accents throughout. The standout feature seems to the the full-length ABZORB cushioning system that is set up to resemble the Nike Shox technology. The chunky sole gives it the retro-futuristic look as it sees a five-pod feature that exposes the mid-foot plate. Take a closer look above or below.
