“Final Destination: Bloodlines” Briefly Teased

New Line has premiered a brief ten-second tease for the anticipated “Final Destination: Bloodlines,” the sixth overall film in the darkly comedic supernatural thriller franchise.

Set to premiere in theaters on May 16th, the clip is entirely centered on the image of a rusty ceiling fan spinning and not looking very stable.

The clip seems like a bit of an ode to the hair salon scene from the fourth film in which a spinning ceiling fan, one far too wobbly in its socket, is one of several potential threats – though actually it proves to be something else that provides the death.

The clip is coming ahead of the film’s first trailer which could launch as early as this week. Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner and Max Lloyd-Jones lead the cast of the new entry while the late Tony Todd makes an appearance reprising his role of funeral director William Bludworth.

Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor have penned the script for the film, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts helped the pair come up with a story for it.

Specifics of the plot are under wraps but previous reports indicated the film would be set in the world of first responders – namely dealing with emergency medical responsers, cops and firefighters.
