- ASUS has quietly revealed the ROG Phone 9 FE in one country.
- The phone is effectively a ROG Phone 8, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and the firm’s AniMe Vision lighting.
- The new handset is available for ~$890 in Thailand, but will not be released in the West.
Update, February 6, 2025 (10:12 AM ET): ASUS has confirmed to us that the ROG Phone 9 FE will not launch in the US, UK, EU, and some other markets. These markets can opt for the regular ROG Phone 9 or the ROG Phone 9 Pro and Pro Edition models. The ROG Phone 9 FE is specifically for SEA markets like Thailand.
