What you get at Royal Caribbean's Hideaway Beach at CocoCay
The adults-only area at Royal Caribbean's private island Perfect Day at CocoCay has a lot going for it.

Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay offers something for everyone. You can have a wonderful time at its multiple included beaches, swimming at the free pool, and dining at the Snack Shacks, or enjoying the included barbecue lunch.
You don't need to spend extra money at CocoCay to have a good time. The free options are more than enough.
Some passengers, however, would like the chance to have an even more special experience and there are three extra-fee options for them:
- CocoCay Beach Club: A private, heated pool and beach that serves an upscale lunch that includes lobster and steak.
- Thrill Waterpark: A large waterpark with multiple slides and a wave pool.
- Hideaway Beach: An adults-only (18-and-over) area featuring a heated pool, a beach, and some upgraded food options.
On this trip, we visited Hideaway Beach and shared some of our thoughts on what makes it stand out. The big question for any Royal Caribbean add-on is, of course, "Is it worth it?"
That's a challenge because like most Royal Caribbean add-ons, Hideaway Beach uses demand-based pricing. We've paid less than $30 for access and over $70. At higher end of that range, the value becomes less clear unless you're someone who gets off the ship early and stays as long as possible.
Of course, for some people, not having kids around is worth any price.

Here's what CocoCay's Hideaway Beach offers
Daniel Kline: Hello, cruisers. I am Dan Kline, executive editor of Come Cruise With Me, and we are here at Captain Jack's at Perfect Day at Coco Cay. And I have to say, it's kind of a perfect day.
The weather is great. It's not that hot. We're on Voyager of the Seas.
We're here with Liberty of the Seas. We've been here with two Oasis-class ships. The island is pretty empty, even though there's two ships here.
There's almost always two ships here. I am sitting next to Dennis Post, who is the co-owner of Postcard Travel Planning, our travel agent partner.
And we're here to talk about Hideaway Beach. This is the newest area of Coco Cay. This is an adult-only area.
So you have to be, what, 45 to enter, Dennis?
Dennis Post: Yeah, adult only, for sure.
Kline: You have to be 18 to enter. And it has oceans, and it has a pool. Dennis, why don't you talk about the pool a little bit.
Post: So what's amazing about this pool, the first thing is it's heated. It's massive. It's like an infinity.
It's got a wall that overlooks the ocean. But then, on top of that, it's a pool bar that wraps around it. It has a covering over it, like a pavilion, that's very safe.
So if the wind comes in or rain, you're covered. But the pool bar is perfect, and the pool is heated. So in the wintertime, or if it's cold, the breeze, it's beautiful.
Kline: That's the big secret. I was here with Come Cruise With Me contributor Matt Frankel a few weeks ago, and it was 68 degrees. But it was absolutely wonderful in that pool.
We're about to have a live musician play, and we're going to run into copyright issues. So we're going to have to cut this one short. But we recommend Hideaway Beach.
It's an added fee, but it's worth the price. He is Dennis Post. I am Dan Kline.
