As first reported by Variety, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad is stepping down after 12 years with the WB Games division. Haddad will continue working for the next three months as the company finds a successor and aids in their transition to the role.

Although not implicitly stated as a cause for their exit, Haddad is stepping down after a fairly disappointing 2024 for WB Games. The company released Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, MultiVersus, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, and Batman: Arkham Shadow.
Save for the Batman VR game, all of were critically deemed subpar, the biggest disappointment being Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which received its final content update earlier this month. Despite the lackluster year, Haddad says he is “proud” of his work with WB Games, and will be a “supporter” of the company’s future projects.
“I am so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together at Warner Bros. Games during my time with the company,” Haddad said. “It has been an absolute pleasure working on and building our iconic gaming franchises, and I will continue to be an enthusiastic supporter of this talented team’s future endeavors. I look forward to working on the next chapter of my career and will always be grateful for my time with Warner Bros. Games.“
In an internal note to the staff, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming and Games CEO and president JB Perrette thanked Haddad for his work with the company. He confirmed that Haddad had specifically chosen this time when the company’s release schedule is more sparse.
“David has thoughtfully and purposefully chosen a time when our release schedule is lighter which will help minimize disruption to our ongoing projects and strategic plans and allow this team to smoothly prepare for its next record-breaking title,” Perrette said.
“I fully appreciate that particularly after 12 years with the same leader and boss, change can be hard and uncomfortable (in our industry and at WBD we have certainly had our fair share)”, Perrette continued. “But it also brings opportunity, a chance for healthy new perspectives, and the ability to create the next incredible chapter for our fans and business… and I’m excited to embark on that with you.”
