Victoria's Secret may be under attack
Victoria’s Secret is offline and customers are starting to panic

I used to love a trip to Victoria’s Secret.
It wasn’t just about shopping—it was about the thrill of walking out with a little pink bag stuffed with what felt like a year's worth of underwear.
And honestly, half the time I was still figuring out my bra size, so I needed options in every cut just to see what actually fit.
Those ever-reliable “5 for $25” panty deals were a staple. And when they bumped it to 10 for $40? Even better.

Now that I’m older, I shop those same deals online. These days, it’s usually multiple pairs of the exact same style in nude and black—and maybe, if I’m feeling wild, one in red. Practical, predictable, and still a good deal.
But that easy, reliable click-to-cart ritual? It’s suddenly...gone.

Victoria’s Secret faces digital meltdown and customer chaos
Victoria’s Secret ( (VSCO) ) has taken its website offline, displaying only a brief message against the brand's signature pink background: “Our team is working around the clock to fully restore operations.”
The company referred to the problem as a "security incident"—language often used when companies are hacked or suffer data breaches. It said it had activated response protocols and brought in third-party security experts.
Still, Victoria’s Secret hasn’t said what happened or when its systems will be back online.
That silence has only fueled frustration. One Reddit user, u/korkett, wrote, “I’m stressed out about my info and data being leaked...they need to address the security concern.”
Others shared similar concerns as hours turned into days with only minimal updates from the brand.

Reddit user u/RileysRiver voiced a growing theory among shoppers: "There is no way a company of this size would be down this long for any reason other than being hacked."
Customers also say they placed orders but never received tracking information. Many worry their credit card data might have been compromised. Others report that while their local Victoria’s Secret stores are technically open, they can’t make any transactions.
Sounds like the whole company is basically offline...yikes.
Shoppers say the outages began multiple days ago, right in the middle of a sale. Since then, transactions of any kind have been a no-go.
Meanwhile, the company’s social channels have stayed mostly quiet—too quiet for comfort.
Victoria’s Secret’s crisis raises red flags for investors
The timing of the shutdown couldn’t have been worse.
Just last week, the retailer’s board adopted a shareholder rights plan (also known as a poison pill) in response to an investor, BBRC International, quietly amassing a substantial stake. The move was designed to protect the company from a potential takeover.
Add in recent executive shakeups and behind-the-scenes restructuring, and it's clear the brand is navigating more than just a tech issue.
For now, Victoria’s Secret has extended its return window by 30 days and says it will fulfill all impacted orders. But the lack of clear communication has left loyal shoppers feeling ghosted and fed up.
For a brand that built its empire on fantasy, the reality it faces now is anything but sexy.
