Underrated Adventure Game Is 92% Off on PS Store

The PS Store‘s new New Year Deals promotion currently features several popular hits, and hidden gems on sale at some pretty steep discounts. This includes an underrated adventure game based on an incredibly popular intellectual property that goes beyond just gaming.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is very cheap on the PS Store for a limited time

Developed and published by Frogwares, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is currently 92% off from its typical $39.99 asking price. That means the adventure game is just $3.19. Anyone even remotely interested in the video game adaptations based Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous stories should check it out. Players will have to act fast though as the deal is only available until January 30.

“Track down evil in the darkest corners of London and the human soul while playing as the great detective, as you untangle a web of intrigue leading to the final stunning revelation,” reads the game’s description. “Each of your deductions and actions affects the rest of the story, for better or for worse.”

“Play as Sherlock Holmes and use his extraordinary abilities to progress through the adventure,” the description continues. “Freely explore several of the city’s neighbourhoods in search of clues and suspects. Interrogations, combat, chases, infiltration… discover a game that is unlike any other!”

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s daughter did fine critically, receiving a 71 on Metacritic. Despite its mixed reviews, it is generally praised for the story, and the investigations Holmes attempts to solve.

Anyone interested in the Sherlock Holmes video game series can also spend a bit extra to get two extra games. The Sherlock Holmes Essential Bundle is currently $9.99, and includes The Devil’s Daughter, Chapter One, and Crimes and Punishments. It’s typically $99.99, so players will be saving 90% if they decide to go with this deal. This discount is also available until January 30.
