FATHER JOHN MISTY

Father John Misty’s tour with Destroyer starts in just a couple weeks, and as a warm-up, he’s playing an intimate show at Lititz, PA’s Mickey’s Black Box on February 10. FJM promises “Lots of Mistakes.” The tour hits NYC at Kings Theatre on February 25 and Beacon Theatre on February 26.

NINE INCH NAILS

Tickets for Nine Inch Nails’ 2025 tour went on sale today and some shows went fast; they’ve added second dates in LA, NYC and Chicago.

DEAFHEAVEN / GATECREEPER / TRAUMA RAY

Deafheaven will support their upcoming new album on tour with Gatecreeper and Trauma Ray.

OSEES

OSEES have announced a six-show LA residency at Teragram Ballroom, and three of the shows will feature former member Brigid Dawson rejoining the band for sets that pull from her 2005-2013 era of the group.

MJ Lenderman has added a bunch more shows to his upcoming tour.

Michael Shannon, Jason Narducy & Friends will be doing the REM tribute thing again, this time focusing on 1985’s Fables of the Reconstruction, starting on Valentine’s Day in Pioneertown, CA. If folks from across the pond have been feeling neglected, they’ll be taking things to to the UK in August, hitting Manchester, Glasgow, London, Nottingham, and Bristol. The NYC show is at Brooklyn Steel on March 8.

GRUFF RHYS

In 2014, Gruff Rhys released American Interior, which was an album and soundtrack to his documentary about trying to retrace the steps of distant Rhys relative and explorer John Evans, who traveled through North America in the 1790s trying to locate a lost tribe of Welsh-speaking natives. For the album’s 10th anniversary, Gruff is bringing American Interior back to the US and Canada. “I know it’s 11th but I ran out of time last year,” Gruff says.

HORSE THE BAND

Nintendocore pioneers HORSE the Band are back to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2005 sophomore album The Mechanical Hand with their first proper tour in eight years and their first shows at all since their 2019 West Coast holiday shows.

STILL HOUSE PLANTS

UK avant-indie-rock trio Still House Plants will be over for Knoxville’s Big Ears Festival in March and have scheduled US and Canadian shows while here.

Brooklyn band Momma just announced their new album and a tour.

TIM CAPPELLO (SHIRTLESS SAX GUY FROM LOST BOYS)

You may have heard they’re turning The Lost Boys into a musical, and we are campaigning to have Tim Cappello, the shirtless sax god who sings “I Still Believe” in the movie, reprise his role on Broadway. Meanwhile, Tim is still out there saxxing it up shirtless on tour, and he’ll soon play Cleveland, San Diego, San Francisco, Rochester, Roanoke, VA and more.

MAC SABBATH / THE DICKIES

Mac Sabbath, the tribute band that plays Black Sabbath songs but rewrites the lyrics to be about McDonalds, will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on tour with jokey punk vets The Dickies and Flummox. Spring dates include NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on May 1.

FRED ARMISEN

Fred Armisen will be out this spring on his “Comedy for Musicians but Everyone Is Welcome” tour, with stops in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Shreveport, Hattiesburg, Birmingham, Savannah, Orlando, Tampa, and Palm Beach.

MIYA FOLICK

Miya Folick will support her upcoming album Erotica Veronica on tour this spring, and the NYC stop is at Brooklyn Made on April 30.

STARCLEANER REUNION OPENING FOR FRIKO & THIS IS LORELEI

NYC’s Starcleaner Reunion, whose debut album sounds somewhere between Stereolab and The Cardigans, will be on tour this spring, including dates with Friko and This is Lorelei.

UNION POOL “AFTERNOON HANG” SERIES

Union Pool is bringing back its free “Afternoon Hang” series, which happens Sunday afternoons in the front bar, featuring relaxed, casual, quieter performances.
