Sonos is planning to launch a new video streaming device that will rival the Apple TV 4K, according to a new report from The Verge. The device will allegedly cost between $200 and $400, significantly more than some of its competitors.I've seen images of the upcoming product, which is deep into development, and it's about as nondescript as streaming hardware gets. Viewed from the top, the device is a flattened black square and slightly thicker than a deck of trading cards.The streaming device, codenamed Pinewood, is powered by Android. Sources say it has a "beautiful" interface, despite being developed in partnership with a digital ads firm. It will combine content from numerous platforms like Netflix, Max, and Disney Plus into a single, unified software experience.
