Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has confirmed a 6am US-PT launch time on April 2nd for its direct presentation which will showcase the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s expected that Nintendo will announce the console’s release date, as well as reveal launch titles for the console.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa revealed earlier this week the console’s price will take into account numerous factors, and put measures in place to prevent scalpers resellers from impacting launch supplies. [Source: VGC]

How to Die Alone
Hulu has canceled its acclaimed Natasha Rothwell-led comedy series “How to Die Alone” after one season. Rothwell played a broke, fat JFK Airport employee who has never been in love and forgotten how to dream.

Toxic Town
Netflix has shared the trailer for the limited drama series “Toxic Town” based on the real-life story of one of the UK’s biggest environmental scandals – the Corby poisonings.

Focusing on the mothers, who took on a David and Goliath battle for justice, the series traces through the years of their fight as a terrible truth comes to the surface. Jodie Whittaker, Aimee Lou Wood, Claudia Jessie, Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear and Joe Dempsie co-star in the series which premieres February 27th.

Anaconda
Sony Pictures has shared a ‘jam session’ video for its upcoming action comedy reboot of the “Anaconda” creature feature franchise. Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Selton Mello, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Daniela Melchior and Ione Skye star in this new version hits cinemas December 25th 2025.

The reboot involves a group of friends facing mid-life crises who are remaking their favorite movie from their youth. They head to the rainforest, only to find themselves in a fight for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.

The Smurfs
Paramount Pictures has announced a first trailer for their new take on “The Smurfs” will arrive online tomorrow. Chris Miller (“Puss in Boots”) directs the film from a screenplay by Pam Brady (“Hot Rod,” “Team America: World Police”). The movie is slated to open July 18th.

The cast includes Rihanna as Smurfette alongside Kurt Russell, John Goodman, Nick Offerman, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, JP Karliak, and James Corden.
