PSA: PS Stars Still Granting Tons of Points for PS Plus

Last August, Sony announced that PS Stars points will no longer be awarded for purchasing/renewing subscriptions like PS Plus. The decision prompted some justified hue and cry from players, but for some reason, many seem to have missed the fine print: the unpopular change isn’t going into effect immediately.

PS Stars members still have one month to snag points for PS Plus

Until March 1, 2025, all subscription purchases including PS Plus are still eligible to earn PS Stars points. Given that PS Plus has been the most popular way to earn some coin since PS Stars was introduced, we’re surprised to see members continue to express their surprise at being granted points for a subscription on the program’s dedicated subreddit.

We’d like to remind our readers that they still have one month to earn points for PS Plus, so those who like to stack or those who need to resubscribe in the near future should ensure that they do so before March 1.

After this date, it’s going to be near impossible to earn a signifcant amount of points for PS Store credit rewards unless players are meticulously completing all points-based campaigns (which don’t really grant a lot of points) or are frequently making big PS Store purchases.
