Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol is now taking reservations for July 2025

One of the hotels making an appearance on our upcoming list of the most hotly anticipated hotels of 2025 is Mexico’s Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol. The hotel will be perched on the rocky cliffs above the Sea of Cortez in the exclusive seaside enclave of Cabo Del Sol, and it’s set to open this summer.

Back in October, we reported that the hotel had started taking reservations for stays starting in August. However, it now appears that reservations have opened up in advance, and you can book stays starting July 1. That’s like finding a whole extra month of award availability and (relatively) low paid nightly rates out of the blue. Not only that, but TPG secured exclusive new photos of some of the hotel’s suites to share with you.

Granted, booking a hotel during its first days or months of operations can be a bit of a gamble: Some of the room and suite types might not be available yet, and some of the restaurants or other amenities, like the spa, might not be open. Still, if you hope to check out one of the most exciting new hotels to open this year, this could be a great chance to do so before the crowds set in.

Rates at the Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol

As mentioned, the hotel is now taking reservations as of July 1, according to the Hyatt site. The resort is a World of Hyatt Category 8 property, so award nights range from 35,000 to 45,000 points per night for rooms and 56,000 to 66,000 points per night for standard suites. The hotel will have just 163 guest rooms and suites in all, plus 19 residences.

So far, we’re finding paid rates as low as $765 per night in July.

We’re seeing points rates ranging from 40,000 to 45,000 points per night.

That said, if you can hold off a month or so and travel in August through October instead, nightly rates drop to $720 per night for standard rooms.

Points-wise, rates drop to 35,000 points per night for the latter half of August through much of October. Use Hyatt’s handy points calendar to find out which dates are likely to be off-peak, mid-range and peak.

Guest rooms and suites at the resort look light, airy and totally contemporary. Entry-level rooms start at 649 square feet and include patios or terraces, soaking tubs, walk-in showers, 55-inch TVs with Chromecast and all the luxe amenities you’re used to at Park Hyatt properties. For more space, you can spread out to larger suites with swim-up pools and even one- and two-bedroom villas with private pools, living rooms and kitchens.

There’s plenty of award availability for various suite types, and you’ll find the lowest rates during the back half of August and beyond.

Keep in mind that there’s a reason those August through October dates have off-peak award availability and lower-than-usual paid rates. While the weather can be spectacular, temperatures do tend to stay in the 90s during the day; there may be muggy conditions and even some strong rain or thunderstorms during this time, so plan accordingly.

The resort will have 27 plunge pool suites, 56 deluxe suites and five premier suites, which make up a significant portion of its overall accommodation inventory.

Plunge pool suites with resort views and a patio will measure 965 square feet and include a 452-square-foot patio with a private plunge pool and desert views.

Inside, guests will enjoy king-size beds, a convenient living room area and a bathroom with a deep-soaking tub and walk-in shower tiled in glossy limestone.

Premier suites with partial ocean views and plunge pools will cover a whopping 1,254 square feet; the private plunge pool and partial sea vistas come alongside a sizable interior space and a 560-square-foot patio.

But you don’t come to Cabo just to stay in your room. Luckily, there will be plenty to explore around the resort since the Park Hyatt will have five pools — including a beachfront one with ocean views. There will also be a 59,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center.

Across the resort, visitors will find five restaurants and bars ranging from a Mediterranean restaurant to an all-day Mexican establishment, plus a beach club and bar, a pool bar and a coffee shop. The hotel will also be able to arrange for activities, including everything from art walks in San Jose del Cabo to whale shark snorkeling expeditions. Staff can also help you book rounds of golf on Cabo del Sol’s renowned course, which was originally designed by Tom Weiskopf.

This is just one of many hotels opening in 2025 that we can’t wait to tell you about. For a little more inspiration, check out our most anticipated openings of 2024 list, which includes a handful of properties that we’re still eagerly awaiting to see open.

Whenever you decide to make it to the brand-new Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol, there’s a lot to look forward to.
