New LA wildfire benefit comp features Kevin Devine, Jawbox’s J. Robbins, Mutual Benefit, Ducks Ltd, more

A new charity compilation is raising money for those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. Hit the North Records has released Love Los Angeles, which is available now on Bandcamp and features b-sides, covers, acoustic and live versions, demos, remixes, and more from artists including Ducks Ltd, Shannon Lay, Mutual Benefit, The Album Leaf, Laveda, Pachyman, Jawbox‘s J. Robbins, LAPÊCHE, Common Holly, Matt Pond PA, Kevin Devine, Winter, Joyer, Le Ren, Nisa, Gustaf, Buke & Gase, and more. You can see the tracklist and stream a few tracks below, and purchase the whole thing here. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Mutual Aid LA Network (MALAN).

“Los Angeles has given Hit the North Records a lot since the label’s inception here in August 2022,” label founder Tom Churchill says. “I am not someone from LA, nor from the U.S., yet as a city, it has offered me and the label an abundance; access to venues, record stores, local artists, communities, promoters and so much more. With the ongoing disaster, it feels important to do the work to give something back to the city that has offered me so much.”
