Netflix and Lego Team Up for One Piece Playsets

One Piece Lego is on its way, as confirmed by both the official website and official One Piece social media account. No further details have been revealed yet beyond a 2025 release window, however. Lego revealed the announcement with a teaser trailer on the company’s website. It features a straw hat being grabbed by a stretchy Lego hand. As the hat is taken out of shot the One Piece theme kicks in and the words “coming soon” appear on screen. The collaboration will tie in with the Netflix live-action adaptation specifically. A press release from Netflix has confirmed multiple playsets are in production, although they have yet to announce any further details. To celebrate, the manga’s original creator, Eiichiro Oda, shared a piece of artwork on social media. In the artwork he explains his personal love for Lego and his excitement at seeing One Piece getting its own playsets. He claimed that he’d been asking for this collaboration for 25 years. Of course, he has promised to build and display the sets when they are eventually released. As well the Lego collaboration, Netflix has also been steadily revealing the cast for the upcoming second season of One Piece. This includes Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek and Rico Sanchez as Dragon. A release date for the second season has yet to be announced. No release date has been announced for the One Piece Lego sets. Season 2 of the One Piece live-action adaptation is currently in production.
