Maini, Owega, Schumacher Added to Ford Factory Roster

Arjun Maini, Jusuf Owega and David Schumacher have been added to the roster of Ford Performance factory drivers, supporting Haupt Racing Team for the team’s first season with the Blue Oval.

The three drivers, who all have existing links to HRT through programs in either DTM, ADAC GT Masters or competing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, will support Ford and HRT in development of the Mustang GT3.

Their exact programs will be revealed at a later date, but the team has already outlined that it aims to compete in DTM, the Nürburgring 24, GT World Challenge powered by AWS and ADAC GT Masters.

The team also revealed that it will operate under the HRT Ford Performance banner this season, signaling its new relationship with the American manufacturer.

In addition to three new factory driver signings, it was also confirmed that Salman Owega and Finn Wiebelhaus have been appointed Ford Performance GT3 Juniors.

“We are looking forward to this new season and are confident that we are well positioned with this driver line-up and will be successful in sporting terms,” said Ulrich Fritz, Haupt Racing Team CEO.

“We have had very positive experiences with all five drivers in the past and value their technical feedback, which will be an important factor, especially in the development work on the Ford Mustang GT3.

“The fact that the drivers have been included in the official Ford Performance squad at the same time makes the collaboration much easier and highlights their driving potential.”
