A popular award discount from IHG One Rewards is back: Eligible members can enjoy 15% off award stays of up to three nights when they book by Wednesday, Feb. 12, and check in by April 6. Access for members with a Chase IHG One Rewards credit card opened Friday, while access for Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members will start on Sunday.
You don’t need to register for the promotion or do anything special to get the discount if you’re an eligible member. Log in to your IHG account and search for award nights as usual. For example, I have the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card. When I log in to my account, search for an eligible award and select a hotel, I see a message stating, “As a cardmember, you are eligible for a 15% discount on Reward Nights.”
Since this promotion is only for award stays of up to three nights, it isn’t stackable with the fourth-night-free reward offered as a benefit on the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, the IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card and the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card.
If you’re eligible for this promotion, check award rates and consider rebooking if you have IHG stays booked during the stay period. It doesn’t hurt to check your other IHG stays as well, since award rates may have decreased since you booked due to IHG’s use of dynamic pricing.

Bottom line
If you have an upcoming stay of up to three nights with IHG and are eligible for this sale, check if the 15% discount affects your calculations for booking a paid stay or redeeming IHG points.
If you need to earn more IHG points, remember you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points and Bilt Rewards Points to IHG. But, depending on how you value these currencies, you may be better off buying the needed IHG points.
