HBO solicits viewers for Floridian tales of woe for It’s Florida, Man
HBO has launched a website to solicit submissions for the network's comedic anthology series, It's Florida, Man.
Calling all Floridians. HBO needs your help.
Gearing up for the second season of HBO's comedy anthology series It's Florida, Man, the Home Box Office is soliciting viewers' tales of sun-baked sorrow and sleeveless serendipity. Casting for the new season has already begun, but HBO would like input from viewers like you, especially if you've trapped a six-foot gator in a trashcan. Over at itsfloridaman.com, people with stories of Orlando-based lunacy are encouraged to submit via Google form.
"We are calling all Floridians to submit their stories. We are looking for any and all crazy and unbelievable TRUE stories that take place in Florida," the website reads. "If your story looks interesting, we will get in touch to learn more. Shooting begins in April 2025."
Produced by Danny McBride, the series offers comedic recreations of supposedly true stories from the Sunshine State. Those stories aren't performed by actual Florida men, at least not exclusively. Last season, Anna Farris, Simon Rex, Jake Johnson, Sam Richardson, and more did their best to bring the nightmares of the Panhandle to life. Who knows? Maybe your story about the time you watched an alligator get tossed into a Wendy's drive-thru will end up on HBO. Meanwhile, we're still waiting for It's Flordia, Dog to get the greenlight. '
