Frank Ocean Begins Shooting Debut Feature Film in Mexico City
The wheels have started to turn on Frank Ocean's first-ever film project. Per Variety, Ocean has started shooting his directorial debut film down in Mexico City.While mostly everything about the indie film still remains under wraps – plot details, a release timeline, casting information, what have you – UK actor David Jonsson is confirmed to step into the film's lead role. Jonsson has recently starred in Alien: Romulus and Rye Lane. As expected, the enigmatic Ocean has remained rather far from the spotlight in recent years since dropping Blonde, stepping into the limelight only for a one-day-only Coachella performance in 2023, the launch of his Homer jewelry line and the release of his 48-page photobook Mutations.
