Brian Austin Green Says MGK’s Comments After Megan Fox Split: ‘Really Got Under My Skin’
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor said his recent out-of-character diss of his ex's ex are the last you'll hear from him on the topic.
Brian Austin Green is not typically one to speak his mind about ex-wife Megan Fox’s business. But the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum told People magazine that his recent call-out of Fox’s ex-fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, was born of frustration.
“That’s not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it,” Green, 51, told the magazine about his comment earlier this week in an Instagram Story in which he reportedly slammed the 34-year-old “Emo Girl” rap-rocker for being so concerned about other people’s takes on his on-and-off relationship with Fox, 38.
“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life. Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people,” Green reportedly wrote in the since-expired Story in reaction to a headline that said MGK was trying to downplay reports that things were not good between him and Fox. The Transformers actress is expecting the former couple’s first child together in March; Green has three children with Fox, Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 10 and Journey River, 8.
Green had previously counseled Kelly to “grow up, she’s pregnant” after news broke that he and Fox had split a month after announcing their baby news.
Green told People this week that he didn’t expect to hear from Kelly after his comments this week. “So I spoke my mind, but then I’ve since come to terms with the fact that I won’t do that anymore,” Green said about keeping his opinions about his ex-wife and her ex-fiancé to himself going forward. “I’m going to shut up and just sit back.”
Green was married to Fox from 2010-2020 and after their divorce, Fox began dating Kelly and they got engaged in December 2022 before calling it off in November 2024.
