Apple Quietly Adds iPhone Support for T-Mobile Starlink in iOS 18.3

Apple has quietly added iPhone support for the T-Mobile Starlink satellite network in iOS 18.3. This new functionality expands on the in-house satellite communication service Apple offers in partnership with Globalstar.T-Mobile says Starlink's direct-to-cell satellites complement its existing network by acting as cell towers in space. This allows you to stay connected even when you're outside the range of a traditional cell tower. The network currently supports sending and receiving text messages, location sharing, and texting 911 emergency services while connected. T-Mobile plans to expand support to voice and data coverage in the future.How It WorksWhen you're in an area without traditional or roaming cellular service, your satellite-optimized device will automatically connect to the T-Mobile Starlink network if you're part of the beta program. Manually selecting the T-Mobile Starlink network will not work if other cellular connection options are available. How It Works
