America’s Favorite Bolt-Action Rifles Revealed

One of the newest bolt-action rifle models, manufactured by Savage Arms in 2024, is the Savage 110 PPR. A recent review from Field & Stream concluded that although the rifle is accurate for shooting, the price tag is a bit higher than the usual Savage 110 series. According to the review, despite the hefty price tag, the value of the precision is worth the cost. Prices for bolt-action rifles can vary widely, with budget models coming in around $600, while higher-priced models can run you thousands of dollars.

Bolt-action rifles are prized by hunters and long-range shooters for their level of precision. The bolt-locking mechanism helps to ensure an accurate shot, even when you are shooting from extended ranges. (Also see which countries are exporting the most guns to the United States.)

24/7 Wall St. identified the 10 best-selling bolt-action rifles in the United States with data from a report published by Gun Genius. The online gun guide analyzed sales data from the online firearm marketplace GunBroker.com. We ordered our list by sales volume in the 2024 calendar year, though exact sales figures were not provided. We included data on the approximate base price for each make and model from online retailers, including GunBroker. This list was compiled using online gun sales only. Unlike most items purchased online, firearms are generally not shipped directly to your door. Typically, the process requires buyers to have their gun shipped to a Federally Licensed Firearm Dealer, which will run a background check before transferring the gun to the customer.
