Prime Gaming members also get access to Amazon’s cloud gaming service Luna which currently features titles such as Fallout: New Vegas, Fortnite and Devil May Cry 5.
Amazon also makes its own games. In 2021, it released the online role-playing game New World and is currently developing new Lord Of The Rings and Tomb Raider titles.
Last August, Amazon Games boss Christoph Hartmann revealed a LOTR MMO was still in the “early” stages of development. ““It’s a big IP, it’s a big game. We’re still trying to find the hook, find that idea of what it is because we don’t just want to go and do the same thing over,” he explained. The same month, he said work on a new Tomb Raider game was “going well”.
“I mean, doing a new Tomb Raider, the bar is so high,” Hartmann continued. “The longer you go, the expectation goes higher, so it’s a huge, huge task, but things are progressing. I mean, there’s some really great ideas here.”
In other news, Harrison Ford has once again praised Troy Baker’s Indiana Jones and claimed that The Great Circle is proof that Hollywood doesn’t need AI to “steal actors’ souls”.
