About This Everyday Carry
Ex-Army. Medically released. Spent tons of time outdoors prospecting, camping, plus army. Thrive in extreme environments: Arctic, Northwest Pacific Islands, Desert.
What I’m sharing is my most basic, never go without. My stuff is distributed through jackets etc, so my loadout varies.
This is my most basic, don’t leave home without stuff.
Not including wallet, keys, phone watch stuff like those items.
I don’t personally like take-out cutlery or chopsticks. (I keep a KFS in my jacket). Carrying a KFS in pocket is bulky, and I eat enough Asian food that having my own chopsticks always has been worth it for me.
The straw, I don’t use as much, but it’s so small and lives with the chopsticks that it’s unobtrusive enough to functionally not be there.
I’ve carried the CRKT CEO for years now, it’s done me very well. It’s not threatening for carry, but big enough to be useful for many tasks.
I was surprised how much I liked the Arkfeld Pro. I thought it was neat, but it’s been in my pocket since I got it. I use all the features regularly (UV for cleaning mostly, gross, but I feel better about it) and I find if I’m just doing small tasks, I use my flashlight. The magnet on the bottom is great. Mounting, and finding metal things you dropped.
Having my own chopsticks has also gotten me good service. I’ve been asked many times ‘You carry your own chopsticks’? I recommend you try.
We’d love to see more of your awesome submissions, which you can share using the handy form below!
