Rebecca Hall Joins the Cast of Adam Wingard’s A24 Movie ‘Onslaught’

The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett are re-teaming for the upcoming A24 movie Onslaught, and THR reports that Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) has joined a cast that also includes Dan Stevens

Adria Arjona and Michael Biehn also star in Onslaught, with the full cast including Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, Drew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira. 

Onslaught is being described as “a gonzo action horror thriller.”

The Hollywood Reporter details the upcoming A24 project, “Adria Arjona stars as a mother living in a trailer who falls back on a particular set of skills in order to protect her loved ones after she runs afoul of a threat that has escaped a secret military base.”

“Stevens is playing a German scientist working on the experiments,” the site notes.

When the project was originally announced last year, it was noted that it would bring Adam Wingard back his horror roots, making it more in line with films including A Horrible Way to Die, You’re Next and The Guest than his recent big budget studio pictures including the last two installments in the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

In addition to The Guest, Simon Barrett wrote You’re Next for Wingard to direct, with Barrett more recently scripting last year’s action-horror movie Azrael starring Samara Weaving.
