Press Release: Qatar Airways’ newest kids amenities take flight

Qatar Airways’ popular Oryx Kids Club has been entertaining kids flying onboard with the airline for many years with their action-packed adventures for children of all ages. Qatar Airways has unveiled a new range – the fifth in their beloved kids’ program – which promises an exciting journey to another dimension with the Marvellous Metaverse! 

Kids onboard will love discovering the digital world, being immersed in a world of code, augmented reality, finding clues and solving puzzles. With a new digital aesthetic, the range includes pixels, blocks, bright neon colours and glow in the dark elements. 

The range caters to all ages, including plush toys for infants, four kits tailored for young kids, and four kits designed to captivate older children. The kits change inbound and outbound routes, making sure the young traveller’s have different  kit on every journey! 

This year’s program has been upgraded to include exciting and interactive digital bonus features. Made for inflight fun, kids can easily scan the QR codes to activate fun augmented reality and holographic experiences adding an interactive digital experience. 

Young kids can activate an interactive 3D experience to watch the Skyblazer come to life and fly it around the sky and uncover extra digital treasures. Older children will love exploring the Marvellous Metaverse Fun Park with bonus rewards along the way, as well as an exciting holographic experience 

Infant Plush 

Infants will love the plush toys for fun, comfort and companionship. A soft, cuddly Orry plush toy with eyes that blink. It also has a carabiner to be clipped on anywhere such as a bag or pram. The Faaiz plush blanket can be a cuddly friend or opened as a blanket with character hood. 

Young Kids (3-6 Years Old) 

The Oryx heroes are fully committed to their mission as they enter a new dimension with 4 new block-themed kits: 

• Uploads & Downloads Kit doubles as a game board and includes game pieces, activity cards, games, puzzles and pixel colouring stickers.
• Navigation themed laptop kit expands horizons, kids can navigate and customise the different terrains.
• Adventure Drawstring bag transforms into a pouch and includes a pop-up scene with buildable blocks and electrostatic stickers for interactive and digital play.
• Adventure Pixel Backpack Kit shows the changing environment of the metaverse and includes a device  roller box and buildable slotting cards that doubles as a game.

7-10 Year Olds 

The Oryx Heroes explore a whole new terrain with neon lights and flying pixels with 4  new kits: 

• 3D Metaverse Kit with 3D glasses for activities and cracking codes.
• Circuit Breaker Kit for solving puzzles, games and fidget toy.
•  Marvellous Metaverse Fun Park Board Game Kit is a quilted fold-out bag, game with digital interactivity and glow in the dark bag tag.
• Metropolis Kit features a tech pouch, a map for exploring, uncovering activities, hidden clues, codes to crack and a hidden secret.

Crafted from retail-quality materials, this premium range aligns with the latest play trends and is thoughtfully designed for both in-flight and post-flight entertainment. 

The Oryx Kids Club fun also extends to children’s dining, with meals made more colourful with a bespoke tray liner, napkin ring, and a Snack Box featuring the Oryx characters – making sure the adventure continues throughout your  journey!
