Fans of high-end steakhouses are devastated whenever one of their favorite local establishments announces a closing.

Steakhouse restaurants face many of the same challenges that other restaurants and retail establishments have dealt with, which include rising costs of labor and products driven by inflation, increased costs of debt from rising interest rates, high lease rates that do not make economic sense, and changing attitudes of consumers toward dining at restaurants.
