Playtest Demo Now Available for Open-World Paranormal PvE Shooter ‘Phantom Line’ [Trailer]

Ever since Antistatic Studios released their gameplay trailer back in August for their upcoming shooter Phantom Line, things have been quiet on the development side. And now we know why, as the developer has just unveiled a new playtest demo for Phantom Line. The game is still in pre-alpha with no release date as of yet, as the team works towards closing the core gameplay loop.

To get in on the playtest, you’ll need to head over to the Phantom Line Discord and get a key. From there, you and up to three other friends can take part in the demo.

Phantom Line casts you as a member of an elite spec-op unit, working for a megacorp called Mortfield Industries. Specifically, you‘ve been selected for the Operator Simulation Program called H.U.S.K. where you can transfer your consciousness between artificial bodies. You must tactically employ these bodies: scout, distract, place decoys, or utilize many other strategies and commands to gain an advantage over the lurking horrors known as Anomalies.

To complicate matters, nuclear war has just broken out, and you are sent to the disputed Iron Corridor – an Eastern European region torn by international tensions. Operators need to be self-sufficient should they become cut off. Improvise as necessary: use any resources available, gear up, and adjust your tactics to the situation on the ground. Hunt and cook wild animals to maintain optimal health.
