Netflix swears this is really the final Cobra Kai trailer

At this rate, Cobra Kai is starting to stretch the definition of the word "season" almost as much as Yellowstone. Yellowstone saw two years go by between parts one and two of its fifth and final season, but at least it was only two parts. Cobra Kai's sixth season has managed to contain itself to less than a year, but it's aired in an unnecessary three parts instead of two. Luckily Cobra Kai fans won't have to suffer too much longer.

The saga that began almost four decades ago in The Karate Kid is finally coming to a high-kicking close. Netflix dropped the the trailer for its last season bit today, and it's full of little nostalgic moments that harken back to what came before (including a fitting tribute to Mr. Miyagi, the sensei who started it all). Finally, this feels like an ending—one on co-writers and executive producers Josh Heald's, Jon Hurwitz's, and Hayden Schlossberg's "own terms," as they wrote in a memo to fans (via Tudum).

Season six has been chopped up so much that you may need a reminder that a kid died at the end of part two. That shocking event took place during an all-out brawl at the prestigious Sekai Tekai tournament in Barcelona, but apparently wasn't enough to shut it down completely. Part three sees Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai once again training to leave it all on the mat, this time for good. At least, that's what they say… for now. "This may be the end, but Cobra Kai never dies," the trailer promises. We'll check back in whenever the retrospective spinoff of the spinoff premieres. For now, you can watch the final five episodes of Cobra Kai when they begin streaming February 13.
