Las Vegas resort announces "MrBeast Experience"
One customer will be given a gift bag with $10,000 in it, because nothing says "fun vacation" like losing a private lottery.
In what we can only assume is a deliberate boon to the sort of person who reads the following news, gives a wry chuckle, and then mutters, "Sounds like my life," a Las Vegas resort has announced it's running a partnership with Dollar Store YouTube Willy Wonka type MrBeast to launch a "MrBeast Experience" for its guests. The three-day package, offered by Resorts World Las Vegas, offers participants a series of "on-site activations," but no messaging about any sort of participation from actual human being/ridiculously successful online video star Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson. In fact, the big selling point for the package appears to be something even truer to the whole concept of MrBeast than the man himself could likely muster: A gift bag of crap that might have $10,000 hidden in it.
That's right, folks: You can now also get the true MrBeast experience, i.e., hoping that a guy with a camera and a massive follower count might take randomized pity on you in order to give you a lot of money. The $10,000 voucher—"redeemable for cash at Resorts World"—will go in exactly one of the goody bags, because nothing kicks off a fun vacation like telling 99 percent of participants that they've just lost the lottery.
Donaldson, already massively popular, has gone up another tier of celebrity in the last year, largely on the strength of his Amazon series Beast Games, which did big numbers amongst the "Mad Squid Game isn't more real" set. That's also apparently come with a commensurate uptick in his ability to sell his image to places like Resorts World, with the CEO of his company issuing a statement (per THR) promising that "Partnering with Resorts World Las Vegas allows us to kick off 2025 in true MrBeast fashion—combining fun, surprise, and generosity. I’m excited to see the incredible moments we’ll create together and to make this year truly unforgettable for everyone.” (Meanwhile, we just think it's hilarious that this "MrBeast Experience" couldn't even rate a press statement from the man himself, let alone an appearance.)
