Gerwyn Price explains why he made U-turn over Premier League after dismissal

Gerwyn Price has admitted he rediscovered his love for darts in time to feature in the Premier League. He used exhibition events to rediscover his fondness for the sport, and is now back to producing some of his best displays with arrow in hand. Despite his tough 2024, Price was selected for the invitational Premier League, holding a high ranking as well as serious box office power on tour. During his sticky spell, Price had suggested he would snub any invite to the tournament to focus on himself. But he has since accepted his place in the line-up and insists time away from the sport made him realise it was the correct move. He told talkSPORT.com: “Like I said I had time off, not that I wanted to. “I had a little bit of a break, I missed out on the Grand Slam not qualifying for that. “It gave me a lot of time to reflect on what I was doing if I was playing darts, and there isn’t much to do. “If I wasn’t in the Premier League, I’d be stuck in the house bored out of my skull. “So it’s best to be out on the road again, and back doing it on the big stages in the Premier League.
