Black Panther 3 Producer Comments On Denzel Washington’ Claims He’s In Movie

Black Panther 3 producer Nate Moore comments for the first time on Denzel Washington’s claims that he will be in the movie. Black Panther 3 is still in early development. Moore said in a piece yesterday that everything is still on the table. You’ll find that coverage in the related link below. The summary though? Marvel has simply not had those creative discussions with director Ryan Coogler, yet. Yesterday it was in response to T’Challa casting rumors.

However, in a new interview with Screen Rant promoting Captain America: Brave New World, Moore also opened up on Washington’s claims. The veteran actor previously was quoted as saying Coogler was writing a part for him in the film.

Moore didn’t dismiss it, in fact he seems keen. However it is clearly not yet a ‘done deal’ as it were so he cannot say too much.

“If that manifests, which we’re gonna try, I think it will probably be somebody from canon. Who that is, is early days. We honestly haven’t had really substantive creative conversations with Ryan, mostly because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which is gonna come out this year and is gonna be great. So again it’s too early to say, but obviously if an actor of the caliber of Denzel Washington wants in, we’re gonna figure out a way to make that happen.”

It appears everyone is keen. Therefore,  I don’t doubt they will make a deal. However, who he’d be playing and when are questions for down the road. Black Panther 3 has never been formally announced. Therefore, there’s no way we’re getting anything but throw away comments like, ‘we have ideas, let’s see how talks progress’ etc.

I would say, if I was a bookie I would not no longer be taking bets on Washington appearing in Black Panther 3. Still, who knows, it could simply not work out.
