So, there’s a good chance you might have heard of robot vacuum cleaners. These devices are perfect for homes to help you dust your floors and mop them. But if there are robots that can vacuum the floor, why not make robots that can also clean the pool?
AquaSense 2 Ultra
AI is all the tech industry can talk about for the past couple of years, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that Beatbot has adopted the technology and used it in the AquaSense 2 Ultra pool cleaning robot.
In fact, the company goes as far as calling it the world’s first AI-powered 5-in-1 robotic pool cleaner. It features HybridSense AI Pool Mapping which combines cameras, infrared, and ultrasonic sensors for more precise navigation. It also helps to provide full pool coverage so no spots are missed.
The AquaSense 2 Ultra boasts a comprehensive list of cleaning capabilities, including cleaning your pool’s floors, walls, and waterline. The new Adaptive Path Planning technology also allows for the unit to map out and clean multi-level platforms under the surface of the water. Beatbot is the first to overcome the challenge of surfacing and submerging, enabling the robot to float to the water surface and skim it effectively thanks to the AI Cruise Debris Detection.
This ensures that no debris is left behind. In addition to physically cleaning the surface areas of your pool, the AquaSense 2 Ultra can also clean your pool’s water. The robot can release water clarification solutions that Beatbot claims clean up to 99,000 gallons four times faster than more traditional clarification methods.
Lastly, its Smart Surface Parking and SmartDrain technology make it easy to retrieve the robot and lift it out of the water when its done.
AquaSense 2 Pro
Next up we have the AquaSense 2 Pro. This is kind of similar to the Ultra model in the sense that it boasts a 5-in-1 cleaning system. It offers cleaning features such as skimming, wall and waterline scrubbing, floor cleaning, and water clarification.
This is the same system as the Ultra model where it uses the ClearWater Clarification System to help clean the pool’s water. Having a pool free from debris like leaves and branches is great, but making sure it’s extra clean and clear is beneficial as well.
The AquaSense 2 Pro comes with nine motors and includes a floating chamber and surface propeller motors. This allows for more precise movements and offers complete pool coverage. Beatbot has also added a remote control feature through the app, allowing you to control it while on the surface to areas that need to be skimmed or move the unit to a specific spot for easy retrieval.
The Pro version of the cleaner also comes with a 13,400mAh battery. Beatbot claims that this provides up to 11 hours of surface cleaning and 5 hours of floor and wall cleaning.
AquaSense 2
If you don’t really have a need for a very powerful robot pool cleaner, don’t worry, Beatbot has you covered. This comes in the form of the AquaSense 2. This is the base model of the new AquaSense 2 series of pool cleaners. Unlike its siblings, the base model only offers a 3-in-1 cleaning system, as opposed to a 5-in-1.
It works by cleaning the floors of your pool, the walls, and the waterlines. It boasts a 200W brushless motor that has a 5,500 GPH suction system. It also comes with the Smart Surface Parking feature that makes the robot pool cleaner easy to retrieve when it’s done with its work.
The AquaSense 2 packs a 10,000mAh battery that Beatbot says should be good for about 4 hours of cleaning time. So if you don’t have a particularly big pool, this could be a good choice.
Pricing & availability
So, if any of Beatbot’s new pool cleaning robots sound like something you might be interested in, they are expected to be made available this coming February.
The AquaSense 2 Ultra is the most expensive model starting at $3,450. Next up is the AquaSense 2 Pro which is priced at $2,499. Last but not least, if you don’t need anything too hi-tech or fancy, the base AquaSense 2 is priced at $1,499 for the AquaSense 2.
