ASUS Launched Another ROG Phone 9 Variant, but You Might Have Missed It
It's unclear if the phone will make its way to North America, however. The post ASUS Launched Another ROG Phone 9 Variant, but You Might Have Missed It appeared first on Phandroid.
Like many other Android smartphone brands, ASUS is one of those brands that doesn’t hesitate to launch different variants or models of a particular smartphone line. With that in mind, the company recently added a new entry to its ROG smartphone series with the new ROG Phone 9 FE, which was spotted on a regional ASUS website in Southeast Asia.
As you can probably tell from the name, the 9 FE means that it’s a slightly more affordable take on the ROG Phone 9 series, which is most apparent with the chip that ASUS has used inside. More specifically, the 9 FE comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead of the latest 8 Elite chip, although this doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a downgrade given how impressive the 8 Gen 3 is on its own, and the 16GB of RAM adds for an overall-smooth user experience in general.

The phone features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 185Hz refresh rate and 2,500 nits of brightness, and this serves as your window into the phone’s custom ROG UI, which is layered on top of Android 15. The phone also features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor, as well as a 32MP front camera. Also present is a 5,500 mAh battery with 65W wired charging, as well wired audio connectivity via a 3.5mm headphone jack.
At the moment it’s unclear if the phone will make its way to North America, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it does.
